Josh Lord’s work drifts between neon-lit futures and the ruins of forgotten empires. Inspired by cyberpunk visions and the fragility of ancient civilizations, his practice explores the tension of “high tech, low life.” In these layered worlds, technology glows with promise even as it foreshadows collapse. Familiar icons—Coca-Cola signs, fragments of mass culture—are recast as relics, stripped of meaning and reborn as ritual objects. Lord invites us to see our own time as both luminous and fragile, already slipping into history.
